The objectives of the organization
The Union of Georgian Musicians was founded in 2016. Our organization endeavors to organize competitions, festivals and various music events both in Georgia and abroad, as well as to conduct master classes taught by high-ranking musicians from around the world. Each of the founders of the Union serve as professors at the State Conservatory: Manana Kantaria, Natia Kavtaradze, Nato Magalashvili and Ketevan Lebanidze -- International Media Relations Manager. Prominent Georgian musicians and folk artists also serve as members of the association.The purpose of our organization is the development of classical music as well as the popularization of less common musical instruments. We also aim to discover creative, gifted, developing young musicians, to assist and encourage their professional advancement and individual growth, and to bring world-class standards into the realm of Georgian art. Each of our competitions are attended by the Vice-President of the European Union of Music Competitions for Youth (EMCY), Justas Dvarionas, who offered the highest assessment of the Otar Taktakishvili International Competition and offered recommendation to join the membership of EMCY. The Union of Georgian Musicians has established several competitions and festivals for young musicians under the common name "Rondo-Classica":1.
